Product suggestions

You’ll need:

Blown-out eggs (preferably organic; they have a slightly thicker shell)

Egg dyes that are suitable for blown-out eggs

Diluted vinegar

Flexible wire, not too thin

Wire cutters

Flat-nose pliers

Thick jute yarn

Superglue

Scissors

Thick knitting needle

Decorative items such as feathers, wooden beads, or similar

How it’s done

1. Cut off a piece of wire of suitable length for the size of your wreath and bend it into a ring. As a guide, take the chosen number of eggs and lay them out in a circle to give an idea of the size you need.

2. Wrap the jute yarn tightly around the wire so that it’s completely covered.

Tip: It helps to attach the start and end with superglue.

3. Carefully clean the raw eggs with diluted vinegar and dry them.

4. To blow out the eggs, carefully bore a hole in the top and bottom of each egg and enlarge the holes using the knitting needle, so that the covered wire can be pushed through easily.

Tip: To blow out eggs hygienically, use a Heitmann egg blowing set.

5. Dye the eggs in your preferred colours. Many Heitmann egg dyes are also suitable for blown-out eggs. Look out for this icon.

6. Once dried, slip the dyed eggs onto the wire, rounded end first, and thread on a large wooden bead or similar in between. Unleash your creativity using different materials!

7. After threading on the last egg, use the flat-nose pliers to bend the ends of the wire and hook them together, then wrap tightly with yarn. Add a decorative bow to finish. Your Easter wreath is ready!
